How to Fix NTIDR.vbs or Radz_Services.vbs Erros Inflected by Virus

Today a friend called up asking my help in fixing his computers. The problem he was encountering is that he cannot open his drive c: and an error ntidr appears. I told him this problem was cause by a certain virus and it can be fix. Assuming you made thorough virus scan of your computer. Do the following fix instructions:

  1. Boot your computer on Safemode.
  2. When you’re on safemode Open up My Computer then click Tools then click Folder Options then click View then choose show hidden files and folders then uncheck Hide extensions for known file types and Hide protected operating system files (Recommended) - Then click Apply and Ok to exit.
  3. Once you’re done, search and delete SysRes.vbs and Radz_Services.vbs and Autorun.inf under Drive C: or C:\windows - To open Drive C: just type C: in your addressbar or click Start Button then press R or Run then type in C:
  4. Next is open Regedit and search the following items NTIDR.VBS and Radz_services.vbs - Delete them all. To make you’re search fast just press F3 to find and so on.
  5. Once everything is deleted, insert your Windows XP SP2 or SP3 Disc and then go to I386 folder - look for NTDETECT.COM then copy and paste onto Drive C: overwriting the existing file. Restart and Reboot on Windows XP Disc then proceed to Recovery Console.
  6. Once you started on Windows XP Disc, choose R for Recovery Console.
  7. Type number 1 for windows
  8. If you have Administrator password please provide it if not you can simply press enter.
  9. C:\Windows will appear - Just type in “FIXMBR” and hit enter.
  10. Once it is succesfully fix - type EXIT, remove windows xp disc and boot your PC.
  11. That’s it.. Try to open up C:\ and you’re done.
